Protect My Precinct ~ Est. Nov 2025
Amenity · Liveability · Community · Asset Value
Protect My Precinct is a new resident-led initiative. It launched in response to what homeowners are calling a deliberate betrayal by the NSW Government and its pro-developer planning system. “Owners trusted our elected leaders to safeguard our neighbourhoods, not hand them over to the highest bidder. What we’ve experienced is betrayal, plain and simple.”
Residents build their neighbourhood. Residents have the right to contribute to what comes next. Across NSW, the State Government’s new fast-track planning regime is overruling councils, ignoring resident input, and handing developers unchecked power. In St Leonards and beyond, communities are being blindsided by towering modifications, traffic overload, shadow loss, and shrinking public voice — all in the name of "housing targets".
Protect My Precinct is a resident-led alliance pushing back. We’re not anti-housing. We’re anti-blindside, anti-overreach, and anti-erasure. If you're an owner, tenant, or community member affected by runaway development:
You’re not alone. You’re not powerless. You have the right to be heard.
